Shaun White Snowboarding Wii Balance Board

Posted by Gamer On February - 27 - 2009

Shaun Snowboard WiiIGN, in collaboration with Ubisoft has revealed a new license to snowboard around the world champion of the game, Shaun White.

The first game based on this license will be presented today at the conference, Ubisoft Paris, Shaun White Snowboarding. This game will come to all systems of the current generation of consoles, but more importantly, the Wii version will not be a port, as usual. This version has been designed specifically to play with the Wiimote and Balance Board, and presents a very visual style that fits better with the Nintendo console. While versions for XBOX 360 and PS3 have graphics and realistic controls, the Wii version is more arcade-like animated graphics and clean and vibrant. However, there is less customization capabilities that the other versions.

In this game, players travel the world to practice snowboarding at various locations such as Chile, Japan or the Alps. There are 11 characters to choose from, and you can unlock andalusia Shaun himself, which will give us access to a range of new features. Each competition will win fame points exchangeable for new stations and locations. You can also get respect points by finding secret areas, which will unlock new songs or pictures.

To carry out the Wii version, the developers were split into teams to work specifically with the Wiimote and Balance Board. The goal was to make the players could use the table and really feel as if they were on a snow board. In the case of non-availability of the Balance Board, it is also possible to completely control the game with the Wiimote.

According to IGN, watching the game on the operating table apparently responded very well. The balance shown in a small rectangle on the screen, and depending on the movements on the table in combination with the Wiimote, the game character perform a maneuver or another.

When it comes to multiplayer, you can play up to 3 players, but only 1 can use the balance board. There is also the option to play 4 players, but with Wiimote.
